Valour Community Care is a brand new, veteran-owned and nurse-led NDIS provider launching in Brisbane.

Key Duties

In this role, you will be providing essential support to our participants. Your daily tasks will include:

• Home-Based Support: Assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and shopping assistance to ensure a smooth home life.
• Community Participation: Taking participants to appointments and facilitating social outings to help them stay connected.
• Care Support: Manual handling of participants (hoist/transfer experience is highly valued).
• Monitoring & Reporting: Behaviour observation and support, maintaining accurate records of participant progress, and assessing participants to determine continuing needs.
• Empowerment: Assisting in building participant self-image and self-confidence.
• Flexibility: Availability to cover a range of shifts.

Essential Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check must be held before submitting application.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with valid comprehensive insurance.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant experience (highly regarded).
• Candidates without Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) must have a minimum of 2+ years relevant experience.
• Relevant experience acceptable includes aged care, healthcare/nursing, community services, and personal care experience.
• Smartphone with internet access.
• Valid work visa acceptable for Australian work authorisation requirements.
